Activated Carbon Filter

What is Carbon:

Activated carbon in water filtration utilizes carbon that has been processed to create small pores, increasing the surface area for adsorption and chemical reactions. As water flows through the carbon filter, contaminants like chlorine, organic compounds, pesticides, herbicides, and other chemicals are trapped in these pores, purifying the water and enhancing its taste and odor. This porous structure of activated carbon is highly effective, as it attracts and binds impurities, removing them from the water.

How Activated Carbon is made OR produced:

Activated carbon is made from coal, wood, coconut shells, or other carbon-rich substances. These materials undergo a process which involves heating them to very high temperatures This activation process creates a highly porous structure with a large surface area, which enhances the carbon’s ability to adsorb impurities from water or air.
